At Leon's house last week we had another nice find.  The original lava lamp.  We may have stumbled upon one of the best night lights that a kid could ever have!

Back to the Drawing Board

For Mother's Day, we experimented with making Red Velvet cake.....Mom's favorite.  We didn't go the easy route with Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines, we went with another brand that required a little more work.  A little more work should equal a better taste; however, that was not the case.  The cake was just OK so we will go back to the drawing board on this one and see if we can get it right and perhaps go with a different theory on cake assembly next time.

The boys gravitated to these chairs at light speed as we exited the restaurant last Sunday.  They seemed very content just to kick back for a few brief moments.

It was Sunday afternoon and the boys found the box of old costumes.  Jacob said that he was a skeleton nearly 500 times!
