Noah finally whipped his fever this weekend on Saturday. After a few days of temperatures pushing 104-105 degrees, Noah finally appeared to be back to his normal self on Sunday. The day started out just fine after a trip to church but went steadily downhill from there. He has been called the 'jolly good fellow', the 'perfect baby', labled as having a 'wonderful demeanor', etc, etc. That all seemed to change Sunday afternoon. Maybe it had something to do with being sick, maybe we fed him something we shouldn't have, maybe we picked the wrong cartoon, the wrong jeans, gave him the wrong cow, the wrong shoes, or the wrong snack. Noah has whined in a limited fashion on just a few occassions.....on Sunday, it lasted for seven straight hours leading up to bedtime. Monday saw a return to normalcy and we welcomed that. At least he found time to mow the lawn :)

Sunday Afternoon
We hit the playground and it took Noah no time to find the slide.
An intense look from the little guy when asked to stop playing for a picture.
He made it to the top....
....and held up just long enough for this photo.
He found a Hula Hoop.....
......found another slide......
......and had a good time on the swing with Mom.

Snack Time!!!
Dad was home with Noah last week when the doorbell suddenly rang followed by the sound of a truck racing away. Left at the door.....a package.
After tearing it open, with the help of Noah, the mystery was solved. Cheetos!!! 50 one oz bags to be exact. After a little more research, we figured out where they came from....Uncle Curt.
Needless to say, Noah knew just what to do and, no, he didn't eat all five bags at one sitting. However, it was difficult to sneak even a couple of Noah's Cheetos away from him.
If we can reproduce this smile with each bag, we'll take it. It may take him some time to work his way through all the Cheetos but Noah has very willing and able parents to help him in his quest. Thank you Uncle Curt for the Cheetos!

Church
Just a few pictures before Church a couple weeks back. It is hard to get Noah past the sign-in desk for Sunday School as we walk right past this plastic piece-of-fun along the way!!!

Fisher Price Family Farm
A vintage toy from 1967. It still capitavates a young boy just as well as it must have over 40 years ago.

The Trike
Noah finally got outdoors with his new trike. He can quite reach the pedals yet but he does hang on quite well while driving through the neighborhood.
Once he is big enough and can motor along himself, we will be able to take off the stem in back and he will get his first taste of freedom.

18 Months - Tale of the Tape
Noah made a trip to the doctor on January 6, 2012, for his 18 month checkup. He weighed in at 27 lbs 6 oz (65 Percentile) and was 33 inches tall (70% percentile). During the visit he also got two immunization shots. He didn't whimper or cry....he's becoming a big boy!

The Big Blue Ball
With some nice weather over the week of Christmas, we had the chance to get outside and let Noah do some running around.
He has become pretty proficient at kicking the ball around the yard.
Maybe he will enjoy soccer a few years down the road?

Not Feeling Good
It's a rarity when Noah will take a few minutes to slow down and sit in one place for any period of time. Well, over the weekend, he wasn't feeling too good. Noah spent a good half hour cozied up on his hippo chair with a blanket and Toy Story playing on the TV.

Cold December Day
Noah was dressed for a cold day out in Fredericksburg.
With so much room to roam, a little rest was warranted.
During the day a fire pit was built......
....Noah took some time for a picture with Dad.....
...and a picture with Mom.

New Years Eve 2011
Noah had the chance to meet up with Levi again on New Years Eve. The electric Jeep is a toy that any boy would enjoy. The adults were left to wonder if we will see a similar picture about 14 or 15 years down the road in a real vehicle.

Oh Brother!
On January 3, 2012, Mom and Dad made a trip to the doctor. After waiting for over an hour, which seems to be the norm, the nurse arrived. Her responsibility was to tell Mom and Dad whether Noah was going to have a brother or sister. As she fired up the sonogram machine, she not-so-confidently explained that she had about a 50% success rate in her previous four attempts at reading sonograms for gender. Dad was immediately a bit skeptical. After she deliberately worked the sonogram for a little over five minutes, she sheepishly gave us her verdict....it's a boy. Forgive Mom and Dad if their confidence was lacking. After another short wait, Dr. Seeker showed is face and fired up the sonogram. Within less than 15 seconds he delivered his verdict....it's a boy. Confidence was restored.
All measurements were normal, feet and hands were accounted for, all four chambers of the heart were present, and the brain showed normal development. Below are the first views of his face and body. In the next couple months, the 3D sonogram should provide some better looks at the little guy. Noah should meet his brother on or about the 15th of June.

The Christmas Card
Noah received this card from his great-grandfather, Leon Reeder. When the card is opened it plays the song, 'Frosty the Snowman' in what sounds much like the voice of Bing Crosby. Noah played it continually while trying to dismantle the card in search of Frosty. For nearly a week, Noah has found continual joy in this card. The card is now prettty beat up; however, it still plays that tune.

Some Assembly Required
That's the only excuse Mom and Dad can come up with for this trike showing up as a Christmas present when he actually got it for his first birthday. Well, better late than never (thanks to Grandpa/Grandma Reeder for the assembly). Notice Santa Claus hanging both from the handlebar and stuffed in the trunk. Noah has taken a liking to Santa this year.

Star Light, Star Bright
In the past six months, Noah has really taken to reading a few books before bedtime. Although he seems to prefer a good pillow fight, he does enjoy his books.
