NE Road Trip

It was 1,700 miles and we were back home after a trip to visit Grandpa and Grandma Helmers in Lincoln.  The car was loud at times, lots of videos were viewed, and many snacks were consumed. A textbook road trip.  We stayed in Oklahoma City both driving up and back and it was perfect.  Memo to Jacob.....we pray that one day, you too, will get to enjoy a road trip with your very own two year old son.

Valentines Pizza Parlor

A trip to Valentinos was made while in Lincoln.  Although the original building was torn down and replaced, the pizza was still good.  Jacob may have won the eating contest, downing four pieces.

Breakfast With Santa

It was off to Breakfast With Santa last weekend at school. The kids did letters to Santa, made Christmas cards, and got their pictures taken.  Noah's favorite part was probably breakfast and Jacob's was the photos.  Jacob may have ended up in some other kids photos based on the number of times that we had to retrieve him from in front of the camera.

Helping Hand

Memo to Noah.......it's been a long week full of doctor visits, staying home, and the non-routine.  It all started with a limp about a week ago.  It wasn't that bad, really, but it got much worse.  The doctors thought it could be a few different things but, in the end, it was Toxic Synovitis.  We get to see one more doctor but you appear to be well on your way back to normal.  Of course, this means you are going to have to give up all the rides you have been getting all week.  At 45 lbs, you are growing and growing fast.

We've long said that Jacob walks into his class at school like he owns the place.  The affirmation came the other week when another parent, while watching Jacob walk into school, commented that "he sure walks with confidence!!!"
