Despicable Me 3

Friday nights are movie and popcorn around our house.  However, we decided to venture out to a real theater and surprise the boys last Friday.  Despicable Me 3 had been out for a few weeks so we knew tickets would be easy to get.  On the way in, we thought a picture in front of the movie poster might make a good picture for the blog. Alas, not all opportunities for a photo work out as planned.  At the time of the picture in the early evening, it was 102 degrees, they were facing West, and they may have been getting fried from the heat radiating off the concrete block walls.  Sure seemed like a good idea at the time though.

It took us the better part of four days playing the game off and on but we completed our first full  game.  There were tears, laughter and plenty of learning.  These two are getting the hang of it quickly.

Another favorite in Fredericksburg on a hot summer's day, swimming.  Although a bit apprehensive at first, Noah warmed up nicely to the diving board this last trip.

It was a birthday extravaganza for Noah and Jacob and a whole lot of friends.  Pizza, cupcakes, bouncy houses, bouncy slides, bouncy throne chairs, presents, etc, etc.  They had a great time at Pump It Up!

Ghost Busters!  Probably their favorite birthday present.  It is 100 degrees this time of year but that doesn't stop them from suiting up almost every day.

These days you have to get out of the city to have real Fourth of July fun.  On the way to Fredericksburg we found a nice little roadside stand and picked up some fun.
