Crenshaw's

These guys are doing two three-week terms at Crenshaw's this summer.  They have been there for a few years now.  Plenty of swimming pool time, play in the gym, movies, competitions, spend time at a neighboring camp, etc.  They are having a great summer!

Seemed like a nice day to wash the car and when the neighbor boys come to help, we get stuff done.

July 4th - Later That Day

After the parade, we decided to head out to Fredericksburg for a few days.  We picked up some fireworks after Austin was far in the distance.  We also brought the .22 along so Noah/Dad could do some plinking.  Noah (with the help of Jacob) choreographed our fireworks show that night which included Grandma, Marilyn/Terry, and John/Linda.  

The show was well done and the #5 Comet was impressive.....

....while the artillery shells were a nice end to the evening.  We will revisit these in the future!

July 4th - Later That Day

We hung our flag and had all the Scouts assemble at our house....

......they helped lead off the parade....

......the Lawn Chair Brigade was back and appears to be going through a youth movement....

.....with Noah and Jacob marching with the Scouts....it was up to Kasch to make the candy haul.  

Christmas in July was one of the favorite floats....

....and the classic cars were back again.

How Did You Do That?

R2-D2 Toy.  The user is prompted to either (1) twist the top, (2) pull the leg or (3) bop the top over and over rather quickly or you loose the game.  We have all played with this agonizing toy.  How you came downstairs and declared that you hit 100 correct motions on this, we will never know.  R2-D2 even repeats the players high score.  We are befuddled.

The boys had a swim party for their collective birthday last month and we almost forgot to chronicle here.  Snacks, cupcakes, sunscreen, towels, balls, drinks, goggles, and the list goes on.  We blocked two hours and stayed for four.

Dad Camp

Also to help fill a few days before Crenshaw's, there also was Dad Camp.  The boys had almost the whole pool to themselves for a few hours at opening time....

....did a lot of bouncing, origami, cartoons, played ball, reading, etc, etc.
