Bible Presentation

Sunday was the presentation of bibles to each of the first graders at church.  Ms Bev gave us the analogy comparing marbles in a jar to the number of weeks that we wil have these kids.  We've already lost a large number of marbles.  Each of the kids received their bibles individually and then had the group photo.

Burgers and Milkshakes

What has become virtually a weekend ritual after swimming.  One of their favorite meals complete with a caramel milkshake on this last trip.

Stryder Bike

Before the garage sale last weekend, we moved Jacob to Noah's old bike.  After putting the training wheels back on, Jacob was off and running.  Jacob has some newfound freedom and the Stryder bike was officially sold last weekend.

Gone Too Soon

While cleaning I out the freezer last week the boys were elated to find a jar of homeade jelly from Grandma Helmers.  That jar lasted a day and a half and then we were back to reality.  The jelly was gone too soon.

New Pre-K Skills

Jacob is learning to write in his journal every morning along with all his classmates.  Lots of pictures and some are writing words and broken sentences.  Pretty fascinating for kids in Pre-K.

Noah has been doing well with our plastic t-ball set so we moved up to a real bat and some youth baseballs.  He looks the part!

Circus

Last weekend was a trip to the circus in Austin.  Ringling Brothers at its finest.  The circus has changed through the years and is now the 'Xtreme' branded circus complete with bicycle and trampoline stunts.  However, many of the classic aspects of the circus are still there.  Cotton candy for $15 though, just astonishing.
