The Projects - Garden

Learning how to build a garden, we reworked a couple small parts in the process but ultimately  checked this off the list as well.

The Projects - Ceiling

That crack on the ceiling has been there for a very long time.....

....and it will live on but at least we won't have to look at it anymore.

It was time to build a road.....

....and a long awaited turn-around in the driveway.

The Projects - Trees

The projects were abundant this past trip.  First up, a couple trees that needed attention.  The first tree had split at the bottom and was in a natural leaning position. 

After some noodling as to how to get this to the ground, we brought in the ropes and after a couple attempts, we got it down.

Pretty happy having caused no damage.

Then it was time for a preemptive strike on another pine that probably wasn't going to stand much longer.

We called in the troops....

.....and gathered even more wood for the fire.

The Fish - Part IV

Jacob made a nice cast right by the shore, couple seconds later and a fish jumps.  I figure that might be a nice place to throw and land one just past that fish.  Jacob hollers that he has a fish, I feel a slight tug and assume that I have just tangled Jacob's line.  After getting the fish closer to the boat and making sure the lines were no longer crossed, my line heads in the opposite direction.  After some work with Dad doing double-duty with the landing net, we were all set for a picture.  

This was 'the one that got away', thankfully.

It would be an understatement to say Jacob loves to fish.

He was just getting warmed up....

...when he caught this guy.

Then he got working on the bass....

....with his trusty guide.....

....and then just before we left, he caught this one.  One more of Jacob's catch tomorrow.

Noah caught a nice Northern Pike early in the trip at one of our new favorite places....

.....and found a nice big bass a little later in the trip!
