And So It Began

Guys......the car was resting peacefully at the curb with you two in the back seat while Mom & Dad ran into the house for no more than 1 minute.  We walk outside to see a white minivan lodged up against the green machine.  Thank you Door Dash.....let's give people one more reason to be completely lazy in life while simultaneously creating an army of distracted drivers that are oblivious to their surroundings. 

 Countless hours, phone calls, trips to the body shop, estimates, and on and on for two months and we are no closer to and end than we were in late July. Oh, the boys you ask, well they were far from injured and found laughing at all of this in the back seat.  A two mile-per-hour collision can produce very little visible damage to a car, a mountain of paperwork, scores of hours of lost time, with 100% of the ongoing effort on the part of the party that did nothing wrong in the first place.  This sounds just about right these days.  

Oh, the driver that caused the accident, yeah....she was off the hook on day one and Door Dash's illustrious insurance company took over.  I guess we have finally learned our lesson.....don't park on the street.

Labor Day Weekend

It was Labor Day Weekend so......we decided to Labor.  We've tried to keep that tree leaning at 20 degrees alive by propping it up but a big part of it finally snapped.  However, the rest is still going strong.  

There was a lot of burning going on over the weekend and we probably should have checked for burn bans first.  There is always next time though.
