Heard around the house ALL WEEK

Cor' Brea'......More Cor' Brea' 

That would  be corn bread to you and I.  Noah has a new found love of corn bread, he's mild on the idea of chili but the boy loves corn bread.  The tear below his eye was one of two things, either we wouldn't give him more corn bread or it was part of his emotional roller-coaster as of late.

Building Blocks

We are not sure where this came from.  He has never taken to these blocks but all the sudden on Sunday afternoon he started building with remarkable balance.  Guess he is learning this at school but it was pleasant to see. 

Harper, Texas Population: 1,192

It was a rainy weekend out at the cabin and there were no cows to be found.  A quick trip into Harper on Saturday AM to get some groceries brought these two pictures.  This is why we love rural America.

Hoppin House - Part II

We already know that Noah loves a good birthday cake.  He certainly won't turn his nose up at a vanilla cupcake either.

However, someone must have apparently forgot to tell Noah that there were both vanilla and chocolate cupcakes at this party.  He couldn't seem to take his eyes off of Mom's chocolate cupcake. 

In the end, he got what he wanted....vanilla and chocolate.

The Count

It's going to be a little while until Noah catches up to this childhood classic from Sesame Street in the game of counting.  Interestingly enough, The Count looks a lot like Count Chocula from breakfast cereal fame, but that is neither here nor there.

Anyway....back to the story. Just before bed time we decided to quiz young Noah on some of his new-found counting skills.  Like a seasoned professional, he got it on the first take.  After we master a few more numbers, we will add the 'Ah, Ah, Ahhhhhhhh' and training will be complete.

  

Back to the Hoppin' House

It was Asher's birthday and we were all invited to the Hoppin House for some fun.  It didn't take long for Noah to set his sights on the largest slide.

Dad was ready to send Noah down for a solo ride but Mom had other ideas.  Think we made four trips up this thing.

There were a lot of kids on-hand.....interesting that Noah was positioned right by Yoda.

The foam block pit is always Noah's favorite.

Mom's Birthday Cake
