We were told that if we put some alfalfa out, we would see some wildlife.

Sure enough, it took no time and the deer came out and spent a great deal of time.  We even saw a pack of elk passing across the property.

We all find this game fascinating.  Jacob found this a little more fascinating than everyone else.  He beat us all in this game and made it look easy.

It was a day of skiing for Mom and Noah.  The West hasn't had much snow this past season but the snow makers were working.

The boys don't have to shovel snow living in TX but they jumped right in and cleared the deck once we arrived in New Mexico!

Two Days Off

 

Cold weather and sleet produced two days off from school and some of the neighborhood boys were all smiles.

We then moved on to some of the best sledding and created our trails through the forest.  

We did hit a few tree stumps and rocks but that was no big deal.

Jacob gave it a thumbs up!

And these trails were ridden over and over with the mule waiting to take everyone back up to the top for more rides.

To add a little more adventure to sledding, we pulled out the mule and a tow strap.

Certainly a lot of fun and they were wiped out by the end of the day.

It didn't take long to go explore and create some sledding runs.  The boys didn't venture too far as we got a start but had a great time.

Just before Christmas we headed off for Angel Fire, New Mexico.  We decided to take the Southern route in order to stop by Roswell.  Very stringent China Virus protocols but we did have a nice, small lunch.
