Demolition has begun at Doss Elementary. After 50 years, the school down the street is coming down and making way for a larger ground up build. Not too dissimilar from what is happening all around the neighborhood.

Tree Limb #2
Another large tree limb came down this spring and Jacob was fascinated by it. The Cedar Elm branch had a very large split right down the middle of it. With some rope and a lot of pole sawing, it finally came down. Picture credit of the branch in motion to Grandma Helmers.

Tree Limb #1
It was time to begin taking down some more of the limbs on the dead oak tree. We got out the chainsaw and ropes to make sure we didn't destroy the tree house. A good start but much more work to be done.

Tale of the Tape
Interestingly enough.....Both Jacob and Noah were almost identical heights at 6 years and 8 months old. Their height at that point was 48.5". So, with shoes, Jacob should have no problem with the 48" requirements. More on that after Spring Break.
