Rosati's

It was a long drive back to Austin at Thanksgiving with a stop for the night in Lewisville (DFW).  It was late but we still needed to eat.  Noah and Dad went in search of dinner and happened upon Rosati's.  Real Chicago deep dish pizza.  A wonderful way to end the day.

Lincoln - Some Football

It was off to the football game for Noah and Dad while in Lincoln to see Nebraska play Iowa.  Not the best day for football with temps in the mid-30's and rain but the hot dogs, popcorn and soda made up for it.

Grandpa and Grandma's seats were perfect for the game as they were just a couple rows underneath the overhang so we stayed dry.  Iowa won on this day 27-24.

After a swim in the pool, everyone decided to burn some calories at the hotel.

We had pancakes the next morning and decided to put those calories right back where they belong!

Valentinos

After the long drive with a stop for the night in Wichita, we pulled into Lincoln on our Thanksgiving trip.  We picked up Grandpa and Grandma and headed straight over to Valentinos.  How they still had room for cotton candy, we will never know.

Day of Tacos

As we were about to hit the road for Thanksgiving travel.....we visited one of our favorites, Taco Shack.  We loaded up and had tacos for breakfast, lunch and more tacos on the road for dinner.

Disney Plus

Well Disney....It's about time.  While having one of the great cinematic catalogs in history, you've made it difficult for far too long for your customers, who will freely part with their dollars, to enjoy your content.  You are a little late to the party but us and the 10M+ other subscribers in the first week are appreciative of your efforts....very well done.  Your stock saw a 10% increase in the first week and you had so much demand that your IT infrastrcture buckled.  We still wonder what took so long to make this decision but we now move on.  

First up, Snowball Express.  Combine that with popcorn night and you've got a hit! 

Next up....We look forward to The Mandalorian series, Mom wants Lady & The Tramp and then there are the other 50 movies we've got earmarked.  We've got a lot of viewing coming over the holidays!

Fall Campout

It was off to Muleshoe Bend outside Austin the other week for another campout with Pack 2.  Almost perfect weather with sunny skies, temps in the 70's, no wind, and a cool night.  

This one had mountain biking, footballs, camp fires, socializing, and lots of food.

Noah manned the griddle to help out and had his favorite breakfast (pancakes, eggs and bacon).

As we get home from school the other day, this guy was found to be lazily hanging around the front yard.

That Tooth

Just before his final baseball game, Jacob muscled that loose tooth right out of his mouth.  Jacob was quite pleased and we think his dentist will be happy too as it was beginning to get a little crowded in his mouth.

Hyde Park County Fair

The Hyde Park School County Fair was last week.  All kinds of games and treats for the kids.  Donut-On-A-String was a favorite of the kids.  Jacob.....You won this round hands down.

Noah didn't care who won....he was in it for the donuts.

The Pringles Ring Toss was another favorite.  Jacob stepped up and put his first three rings over the same can of Pringles.  Not happy that he didn't get all five rings, he headed over for his prize.  When told he won a pair of Pringles socks (for getting three on the same can), his mood soured more because he wanted Pringles.  When it was explained to him that very few had gotten the socks and that he had also won two cans of Pringles in addition to the socks, all was well once again.  Meanwhile, Noah headed over to the dunk tank and sunk the coach on three straight balls but we missed the photography there.

As we settled in for the football game with hot dogs and nachos, there were smiles all around.
