Since Daddy and Jacob seem to still get up at the same time (far too early), it was off to clean the truck before the sun arose on Saturday. All he wanted was chocolate milk after his workout.

Born Sep 25 at 9:45 am. 7 lbs 5 oz, 20 inches. Mom and baby are doing well...but we know mom could use some sleep :)

Springhill
It was many a year in the making but worth the wait. We went to Spring hill restaurant in Pflugerville on Sunday with Grandma Reeder and had fried fish, chicken fried chicken, hush puppies, etc.

Feeding the Goats
Every trip to Fredericksburg seems to introduce the boys to a different animal. This time they got to feed the goats over Labor Day weekend. We are sure they will see plenty of deer and antelope in the coming months. It might be a little while longer before they meet up with the wild boars.

Jumpoline Redux
It was Ryder's birthday on Saturday. He turned six years old and the party was at Jumpoline. This is the same place that we celebrated Noah's fifth birthday two months ago. Noah and Ryder are in the same Kindergarten class this fall with Ms. Kirkpatrick at Hyde Park.
Most of the time, it's hard to tell whether the kids are going to eat or not at lunch and dinner. This meal was no exception. They were having pizza and cupcakes so the odds were in our favor (editors note: apparently birthday cakes were phased-out years ago near as we can tell).
The pizza was passed around, Happy Birthday was sung, cupcakes were devoured and the kids headed straight back to the trampolines and inflatables. Noah and Joshua both passed on cupcakes for reasons unknown and headed straight for more fun (editors note: we think they wanted a traditional birthday cake). Jacob, meanwhile, was hard at work dissecting and consuming his cupcake.
About ten minutes later, there was no sign of any kids, plates, cups, crumbs, etc. The kids had all headed out to play. Jacob had other ideas though. He decided to have another piece of pizza and savor his meal. We admire his independence, eating prowess, and the fact that he is secure enough in himself that he doesn't have to follow the heard! Everyone had a good chuckle. Go Jacob!
