Last weekend saw Noah's first taste of organized baseball with other kids 5-6 years old. The kids spent 45 minutes practicing the fundamentals and then had a game after that. Noah had a great time and commented that this was better than he could have imagined. It won't always be that way but we will try and keep him in that frame of mind each week.

Soccer In Season
Sunday was Jacob's first game of the new soccer season. He was fast, confident and scored two goals, both dribbling the length of the field.

Creepy
As we meandered through 'It's a Small World' at Disney, we got to the very end of the ride to find this sign. No other signs, no mentions of any other folks, just us. Big Brother and Big Data rule the day! All just a bit on the creepy side of things.

Ping Pong
Noah took an interest in ping pong versus foosball on the trip. We made more than a couple trips to the ping pong table to play and Noah caught on pretty quickly. Wearing swimming goggles while playing ping pong is optional though.

Flashback
Not a picture from our trip to Disney but one from a trip to Disney back in 1972 with Daddy and Uncle Curt. If that doesn't look like Jacob on the left, we don't know what does.

Water Slide
Almost as good as the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, the boys loved the three pools at the hotel and the 180 foot water slide. They spent an entire afternoon/evening at the pool and then closed down the pool two other days after visits to the parks.

And The Winner Is.....
....Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Roller Coaster. Everyone's favorite ride at the Magic Kingdom. It edged out Space Mountain and, for the record, Noah wants nothing to do with the Haunted Mansion ever again.

Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom was a great time. Mom had to work early in the AM so the boys headed out to the park. After three hours, we headed back on the monorail to pick up Mom. It was only 11:00 AM so Jacob caught a quick nap.
DINOSAUR was not a favorite ride for Noah, apparently a little too realistic in the possibility that we would be hit by an asteroid. They did smile for the camera though.
And what is a trip to the park without a Mickey Mouse pretzel and popcorn anyway?

Drivers License
It was on to the race track after two trips on a small roller coaster right after the park opened. People were scurrying around as fast as they could to ride as many rides as possible before the lines became unbearable. Noah got to drive one car and declared that he was a horrible driver after it was over but had a great time.

Primeval Whirl
Noah's first real roller coaster ride at Animal Kingdom. He laughed hysterically the entire ride and did not stop grinning for an hour. Jacob wasn't tall enough to ride but, the very next day, Mom broke all the rules and got Jacob past three checkpoints and we all got to ride Space Mountain. Big Data appears to be all the rage here at Disney so Jacob will have that record stored in redundant arrays for a long time to come! Oh yeah.....he loved it too.

The Grand Floridian - Pool Time
After getting to the hotel around 11:00 PM, it was up early for the boys. Already been on the monorail for a trip and, of course, the pool. It's off to the Parks tomorrow. The Grand Floridian sure knows how to do everything right. Word has it that there is a 200 ft water slide around here so we will find that this afternoon.

Go Week
It is a week of serving others and sharing the word for all HP students, many making mission trips. The first graders were supporting a group in the Bahamas and all did a project learning about the Bahamas and presenting their work yesterday.

Disney
As the kids already know they will be off to Disney mid-week, we will see if we can recreate this picture from circa 1972 during the trip. Could the carousel and the same seating still exist at Disney some 40+ years later?

Batten Disease
The school had a fundraiser for Batten Disease and Noah did his part. He sold cookies and took donations on a Saturday afternoon, selling all his cookies and gathering some nice donations from those in our neighborhood. Good Job!

Pre-K Valentine's Day
How could we have almost forgot these pictures from Jacob's Valentine's Day at school. He is growing and learning each and every day.
