Coffee from McDonalds

We saw Noah make the early morning trip to town for coffee with the guys (may have actually had something to do with not sleeping) back during the trip in June.  This trip it appears he got his hands on a 16 ounce cup of "all-that-is-good" from McDonalds.  Maybe it was just an empty cup that he found laying around but it sure looks as if he will one day follow in the tradition.

A Slow Weekend

Noah developed a runny nose late in the week and a fever by Saturday afternoon.  The pile of laundry was a nice diversion for him.  Why he is carrying around a carrot is entirely another question in and of itself.

The Blackberry

Kids and technology, not sure why they gravitate towards anything electronic.  Noah is fascinated with the Blackberry and there have been previous posts on the topic.

Now that the refuse center in Park Rapics unknowingly became the recipient of a perfectly good Blackberry, we will probably see fewer future posts on the topic.  Noah is going to have to migrate away from the 3G Blackberry to the 1G cell phone that has no battery or antennae.

Scenes from MN - Part V

We made a trip to the Logging Camp for a big breakfast complete with eggs, hash browns, ham, pancakes, and prunes.

Noah waited patiently for his breakfast to arrive.....

......and apparently was rewarded.

After breakfast, it was time for a walk.......

.....and some more walking to completely work the meal off.

There was time for a family picture......

....and a quick trip to Isle O' Dreams lodge.

Scenes from MN - Part IV

Grandpa and Grandma Helmers welcomed everyone to the cabin last week.....

.....Curt, Erika and Lauren made it all the way from North Carolina....

...of course, we made the trip.....

....and all the Stubers came up from Houston.

We made it to the local theme park......

....relaxed and put a new ceiling on the screened-in porch.

There were wagon rides......

....and fun with all the cousins.

Scenes from MN - Part III

Last trip to MN in June, he was crawling all over the lawn and now he's marching with authority.

Always curious....he takes a good closeup photo!

Sometime in the distant future, he will come to appreciate the garage a little more than he does right now. For now we will call this his 'Distant Early Warning'.

Scenes from MN - Part II

These two are just about the same size and cute as can be; however.......

....it will be a few years before he is as tall as the cute bear at DQ in Park Rapids, MN.

The SLC airport

Even though we should not have been within 1,000 miles of SLC, we found they are light years ahead of all other airports.

Just Hanging Out

Two Weeks with Grandpa & Grandma Reeder - Part Two

Noah spent some time exploring the back yard and pointing to a lot of different things...we're quite sure of that.

Of course there was some pool time as the mercury has now hit 100+ degrees 51 times this summer.

As usual....he loved every minute of it.

He spent time lounging on the deck.

He apparently even found time to pose for this picture......

.....and he will never turn down an offer to go for a drive.

Two Weeks With Grandpa & Grandma Reeder - Part One

Noah announces his arrival.

There was a field trip to Ikea.

Grandpa showed Noah around the place.

With his new found walking skills, Noah took the opportunity to explore all corners of the house.

And, of course, there was food!

Cartoons

Noah is beginning to watch cartoons for short periods of time.

While assembling his car seat in the living room....we found he enjoyed just sitting in it and watching cartoons.  Since that wasn't going to work longer term, we grabbed his booster seat and he had front row entertainment.

Sunday Afternoon

It's back to the pool.

We got in nearly two hours of pool time before the 'incident' that closed down the place for 45 minutes.  That was enough for us.....we got dressed and headed for home.
