One Picture / Four Presents

This picture begins to sum up some of the presents at Christmas.  First present....the mask and cape.  Second.....Mickey Mouse pajamas.  Third, new pair of Cowboy Boots.  Finally, a tricycle that actually wasn't for Noah but for Jacob.  This must have been payback for Jacob 'Bogarting' Noah's dump truck.

Hole

This is Noah exclaiming that he has a hole in his jeans at the knee. He was very animated about it.  Something tells us this won't be the last hole he has in his jeans near the knee area.

Rody II

Jacob is just now getting the hang of Rody.  He has toppled off of Rody a couple times but always tries again.  It was just over two years ago that we checked in with Rody back when Noah was in the saddle.

Christmas Program

Last week was the Christmas program for the Hyde Park CDC.  Noah's age group did three songs and Jacob's class did Jingle Bells.  All in all, a great event put on by an excellent institution.  We couldn't get a picture of Jacob due to his placement on stage and will have to try harder next year.

The Half Stomach

What you don't see here is the rest of the applesauce and a biscuit, pretty much all the chicken nuggets are accounted for here though.  Noah eats big meals all the time and sometimes not too much.....an average kid.

The Stomach

Jacob has turned into an eating machine in the last month or so.  What you don't see here is the pile of pineapple, beans, bread, and five other chicken nuggets as they were already devoured.  We will check in on the progress of his brother tomorrow.

The Helper

Jacob wants to help with everything these days.  When it's time to clean the kitchen after dinner, he goes into action with his broom.  We can only hope this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

Scenes from Thanksgiving III

Thanksgiving dinner was a huge success complete with turkey, ham, potatoes, beans, two types of stuffing, pumpkin pie, coconut cream pie, and the list goes on.  Thanks to Aunt Susan for all the cooking.

Scenes from Thanksgiving II

There were plenty of campfires down by the lake. Warm days and cool nights made for perfect campfire weather.

Scenes from Thanksgiving

Nothing quite like a rest area and a picnic while on the road.

Circles

Today was a big day for Jacob.  He said good-bye to the Bye-Bye Buggy and moved up to walking with the 'circles' at school.  Next big step for him at school will be to begin eating lunch at the cafeteria instead of inside their room which should happen in the near future.

Dinosaur Pajamas

We may be nearing the end of the road with the dinosaur glow-in-the-dark pajamas. Very sad.

Camp Fire

First camp fire of the winter season.  Noah absolutely loved it and is looking forward to cooking hot dogs and marshmallows next trip.

Scoop

At least that is what 'Bob the Builder' calls it.  Not the scale they normally get to play with but they liked the real one even better.

Firehouse #9

Firemen must be all the rage these days for three year olds.  Noah, Joshua and Steven all played the part at school last Thursday.  That happens to be almost 1/3rd of Noah's entire class!!!

Trick or Treating

It was off on Halloween night for some Trick or Treating for Mom, Dad, Aunt Lisa and our civil servants.  These charmers took in quite the candy haul.

They even brought some smiles to the good folks in our neighborhood.

Almost Halloween

Noah has been geared up to carve a pumpkin for the last two weeks.  This weekend we finally got it done.  Now that we have the pumpkin carved and Noah has worn his costume every night for the last weeks, we are almost ready for some Trick or Treating.

Fall Festival

It was off to the Fall Festival at church on Saturday night.

The bouncy houses continue to be a favorite as evidenced by the smile on Noah's face.

Sunday Afternoon

Jacob is quickly learning how best to spend some time on Sunday afternoon!!!

Tree House

Bound to be some more postings regarding the tree house in the coming months.  Before construction can start (now that the weather is cooperating), it's important to have a planning session with the customer and that usually begins with coffee and chocolate milk.

Hardwood Floors and Sand

They don't mix....not even remotely.  We figured the playground at school was where all the sand was coming from.  Took us a while to get the process down but we now pour out a one-quarter cup of sand from each of four shoes each evening before entering the house.

Halloween - Sneak Peek

Jacob is all ready for the parade at school on Halloween.  Fearing that he may get sick before the big day, we thought we would post this pic in-advance.  Now, if we can locate a fish bowl to complete the ensemble, we will be in business.

Toys

Jacob does love his toys, even if it is all of them in the room at one time.

Ready for Church

We think he looks about ten years older than he is in this picture (if that's possible).

Puzzling

Noah was sick the other week and after a few cartoons we got out one of his puzzles.  He got about one quarter of the puzzle together and was ready to throw in the towel. After helping him get one additional piece, he sat down and finished the whole thing.  He was very proud of the accomplishment.

Birthdays

As would be expected, one of Noah's favorite things about school is when one of his classmates has a birthday.  Those days almost always come with cupcakes.  Instead of mowing his cupcake down in record time, he is always very diligent in his approach to its consumption.

Chapel

Wednesday morning is chapel for Noah and Jacob.  Jacob and his class get a front row seat in the comfort of the Bye-Bye Buggie.

Dr Dan

Saturday was a trip back to see Dr Dan. As soon as fall hits, we always seem to see him more frequently. After some anti-biotics for coughing and congestion, we were on our way.  The little guy is doing better every day.

Foot Long Hot Dog

Noah was sick for a day last week and wanted a hot dog. Dad and Noah went to DQ and all they had was a foot long. Noah ate the whole thing.

The Little Gym

It was off to The Little Gym on Saturday for a birthday. Full of all kinds of padded gymnastics gear, Jacob took an immediately liking to it.

Noah at Lunch

They always tell us that Noah is a 'good eater' at lunch and that he usually eats everything.  Looks like we now have a photo to corroborate the claim.
