A few weeks back we needed to burn a large pile of scrap wood left over from construction. The pile had been there for quite a few months and with the cooler weather, it was time to attack. Little did we know that this would become one of Jacob's favorite activities of the weekend. It wasn't so much the fire that he enjoyed as much as it was the moving of all that wood.

Jacob at the Church Festival
Jacob enjoyed the game where you place the golf balls on the rails and try to time them to land in a particular bucket. He would have stayed there the whole night if we hadn't moved him along. Of course he enjoyed all the candy for which they kept him well supplied.

It was off to the church festival on Saturday night. Bouncy Houses remain a favorite and the kids loved the games. With soccer pictures, soccer games, a birthday party, and the festival all on Saturday, the weekend seemed short.

Dribbling
Well....there goes the Halloween costume surprise. We got outside to practice Noah's soccer skills after dinner last night and the Captain America costume was a must. He may never take it off and if the costume lasts until October 31, it will be a miracle.

Funnel Cakes
Noah and Jacob both had funnel cakes at the festival with Grandma Reeder last weekend. Needless to say..they loved them. On two consecutive spins of the wheel, Noah won Eeyore the donkey for himself and a stuffed bear for Jacob.
