Before everyone headed for the fire pit to make smores, Tug Of War came into play.  In this shot, the Moms battled the kids.....Moms prevailed.  There was also the kids vs five dads but no moms vs dads (perhaps a good call).  Had the Moms battled the kids after smores, the outcome may have been different!

Family Camp 2017

A little over a week ago was family camp for HPBC.  It was off to the Highland Lakes once again for the better part of the weekend.  The weather was very nice for late June but we did have a few big storms roll through during our time there.  Everyone had a great time and we will have pictures all week long.

Where is Daddy?

The street name of Corona Drive is well known to the boys.  They have enjoyed stopping by, seeing what is new and finding different hiding places throughout the house.  With this house out of the way, we will again restore some level of normality.

Jacob's Graduation

Jacob graduated from the Hyde Park CDC last Friday.  Complete with a full ceremony, Jacob got his certificate of graduation and walked the stage.  Perhaps his favorite part of graduation was the cake at the reception!  He continues on until early August in Pre-K with his move to Kindergarten just around the corner.

One of the kids favorite memories from the trip to MN last year was rescuing a raft that had come unattached to a dock up the lake.  We got it home and somehow also got it out of the lake.  We weren't sure it would ever make it back in the water but Grandpa and Uncle Curt have made it sea-worthy.  We will look forward to seeing it later this summer.

Last weekend was the perfect time for some batting practice out at the Quarries.  We got Jacob to join in and take his first  batting practice as well.

Amazing Grace Race

Hyde Park K-3rd grade put on a performance of the 'Amazing Grace Race' last week.  3rd Graders took the lead and the younger kids supported.  All-in-all they must have done 10-12 songs and did a great job.

End of Season

Noah really enjoyed his first season of baseball.  Good instructional group at I9 and, perhaps for the first time, Noah wasn't the youngest player on a team.  Next spring will be little league which has apparently changed dramatically through the years so we will look forward to that.  Jacob helped out throughout the season when other kids were gone so he was quite please to get a trophy too.

They came home the other day and announced they were going to be construction workers when they grow up.  After claiming the upstairs as their own and posting 'Keep Out' signs on the doors, some brief quiet time was had on the first floor.

Noah has officially moved on from a Tiger to a Wolf.  A very good year and always participating. That's him with in the hat!
