3M Half Marathon

It was a warm morning for such an unusually cold winter in Austin, definitely spectator weather.  We found a nice spot right at the 13 mile marker to cheer Lori on and we finally saw her coming at not too far off her estimated time.

After finishing just around the 2:17 mark, it was time for pictures with family....

....an friends.  Congratulations on finishing your first half marathon after a long layoff!!!

Race Expo

It was off to the 3M Half Marathon race expo on Friday to pick up all the race materials.  Of course the kids had fun and can always find something to amuse themselves.

Mom got her race number, posed for photo and got ready the race that was just two days away.  We will see how she did tomorrow.

We did a hike at Cross Mountain Park in Fredericksburg over the break.  That same day, Enchanted Rock was so busy that they closed the park as they had too many people. A nice change of plans.

Dad and Noah set out to watch some deer from the blind.  It is a lot to ask of a seven year old to sit still and be really quiet for an hour or two but he did great.  Noah counted some 35 deer that he saw in those couple hours.
