This picture from day two of riding the bus.  Why no picture of the bus ride from day one?  The little guy in the foreground didn't happen to make it back home on that first day.  Dad and Noah did make the trip to go pick him up at the school office though where he was making new friends.

Tennis Anyone?

The boys played a little tennis the other week and all went well.  The attention span of a six year old often comes into play and this outing was no exception. Stacking the tennis balls and finding creatures took center stage on this day.

First Day of School

Monday, August 24, was the first day of school.  This marks the third straight year that the boys are physically at a different location.  Jacob entering the first grade and Noah in third grade.  Doss is set to be torn down in the coming months and school has shifted over to Lucy Read for the year.  No more biking to school but we have added busses.

Summer

Where we spent a great deal of time over the summer at Westover Hills and their large, oversized pool.

When we got their at the open on the weekend, we almost had the place to ourselves and got to play some games.

Of all the games we played that Sunday afternoon, Noah's favorite was ping pong and Jacob's favorite was air hockey.

We found the foosball table, ping pong table, and pool tables which made for a great way to round out a Sunday afternoon until Lori finished her meeting.

Scooters

While their Mom was at a school board meeting, it was time to play.  So we broke out the scooters and they had some fun.  It was pretty hot outside so we had to find some indoor activities and we ended up doing just that.  More on that tomorrow.

Laser Focus

We have said before that Jacob has a laser focus at times and there were no exceptions on our last trip to Fredericksburg.  While feeding some of the catfish in Marilyn and Terry's pond, Jacob used the rake to clear some of the growth and before we knew it, he was half way around the pond!!!
