Frosty the Snowman

This cartoon must have been played 50 times over the Christmas break.  Even Jacob found some enjoyment in this classic.

Merry Christmas!

We are running a little behind but better late than never for this Christmas memory.

Pre Christmas festivities

A trip to the Hill Country Galleria with friends, anxiously awaiting a visit from Santa.  Taken just after a romp in the fake snow.  Yes, we can snow with 80 degree Texas winter weather.

It pays to be the first in line for a chat with Santa...taking a load off in Santa's chair with the boys

All I want is a 'thiretruck and a car'...I'm nice to my little brother...promise :-)

Ta - Da !  It was worth the wait :-)

Used Car

Jacob has recently taken title to the "Fred Flintstone" car.  He's not able to move around in it quite yet but seems to enjoy the all the accessories on the dashboard.  It's now just a matter of keeping Noah from pushing his little brother around the house at speeds far above the speed limit.

Calendar

We have been raking leaves in the middle of December.  While this activity relative to the rest of the country occurs late in the year in Texas, it seems to have come extra-late this year.

Christmas Cards

I don't think this precious image will make it through the Christmas card selection committee this year!

Cousin Nicholas

Appears to be a resemblance in this photo taken during puzzle time before bed.

A Helping Hand (or Two)

Jacob has a strong grip and will force your hand away from the bottle at times.  With that in mind, we decided to try and let him feed himself.  He did quite well and gave us a few extra minutes of time back in our lives.

Safety First

He gets a little bit better on his Stryder bike everytime he goes out on it.  It is nice that he is always willing to put the helmet on before venturing out.

Country Boy

Noah loves being in the country and playing outdoors.  Give him some rocks and sticks and that's all he needs.

Grocery Shopping

He appears to be feeling better and his energy is back to normal. After a quick trip to wash the Xterra and grab a bite at McDonalds on Saturday morning, Noah was all smiles at HEB.  Noah Week is looking up!

Noah Week

Noah Week begins with him under the weather.  He missed an entire week of school due to something he picked up over Thanksgiving.  For some reason he enjoys the coffee table and is sprawled out on it in this picture.

Jacob Loves His Cereal

A Little Sleepy

A little sleepy?  This doesn't happen nearly enough.  Jacob, it took you a few months to get the hang of the pacifier.  We think it still may take a few more months to get the hang of sleeping.

Tummy Time

Seems fitting to have a little 'tummy time' on the Thanksgiving table just before dinner is served!!!

It's Jacob Week

All day every day...we will see Jacob. Here he is just hanging out in Mommy and Daddy's WIN class at church.

5 Mos, 5 Days

Jacob has recently added cereal to his menu and is doing well with it.  Meanwhile, Mom and Dad are living on the wild side by flaunting the bumbo seat in the face of the Consumer Product Safety Commission.  Long live Bumbo...fight the power!!!

Heard Around The House

"Mommy....watch this!"  We usually hear this right before Noah shows us how fast he can run.  The picture doesn't quite capture the full scene as he will typically kick-up his back leg right before he takes off running.  Also heard around the house this weekend once Noah got up from his nap (after the Stuber's had left to go back to Houston), "Where go my Nick and Ben go?"

Dora the Explorer

Move over Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, step aside Super Why, and forget Little Einsteins.....Noah currently has a fascination with Dora the Explorer.  As a side note, he's not sitting on his hippo, he's sitting on the coffee table.  Why? No idea whatsoever.

Halloween Recap

Dusk had set in and we had one of our few opportunities for a quick family photo.

There must have been literally hundreds of people on our neighboring street and Noah got the opportunity to see a lot of other kids in costumes.  Of all the candy he acquired, the lollipops still seem to be his favorite.

Get Me Out!

We might all get a little cranky being strapped into a car seat four or five times a day.  Jacob does quite well with it and rarely will let us know he is unhappy.  Once and a while, he will give you that look though.

Kipper Graduate

Noah graduated from his first set of swimming lessons at the YMCA and was quite proud about that fact.

Jacob....you will have to wait a little longer for a dip in the pool.

Hyde Park Halloween Festival

It was off to the church festival on Sunday evening.....Noah got a trial-run in his new dinosaur costume and with temps in the 60's....it was almost perfect.

Of course he enjoyed the bouncy house as well as anything.  It became a chore to get him back out of the house.

Noah also appears to have learned that his smile and good manners will get him everywhere.  After making the day of some nice ladies at early voting prior to the festival, he was right back at it.

He couldn't eat all of his candy fast enough.

Pumpkin

Saturday AM was the perfect time for carving a pumpkin.  We carved a Noah-sized pumpkin and a Jacob-sized pumpkin.  After the first pumpkin, Noah remembered that he had forgotten to watch Dora the Explorer on TV but was fascinated nonetheless with the finished Jack-o-lanterns upon his return.

Jacob @ Four Months

Jacob went to his four month exam at the pediatrician one week ago.  He weighed in at 16 lbs and 1 oz  which put him in the 75th percentile.  He was 25 inches tall which placed him the 50th percentile.  We will check back on the stats in December for his six month visit.

Almost Halloween

It was time to find a pumpkin and we found a spot that had plenty.  Jacob had a good time hanging out with Mom and looking around at all the other infants on hand.

Noah had a good time rolling pumpkins.  He only took on a couple that he couldn't quite move.

Puzzling

Perhaps this wasn't so puzzling after all to Noah.  We broke out his four-foot fire engine puzzle the other night and, with some guidance, Noah completed the whole thing.  Ever since, we work on that puzzle every night....with the exception of this evening where a good round of horseplay with pillows took priority.

Hangin' Out

Noah is now fascinated with the bumbo seat.  Jacob is either working on his neck muscles or using the bumbo as a Lazy Boy.

Scenes from the Beach

Mom and Noah were all smiles on the first day as a storm was passing by Port Aransas.

We even found time for a quick family photo.

Noah was a little tentative at the beach but by the second day he fully embraced it.

Randall and Lisa were all smiles.

Randall even built some pyramids.
