Nature Walk
We thought this might be a pretty good setting for a picture on our nature walk. Silas, Calista and the whole Edel family joined us for a busy, yet relaxing weekend, as the kids rode zip lines, rode horses, had a campfire and marshmallows, etc.

Donuts With Daddy
It was donuts at breakfast this morning! Why? Because it is Donuts With Daddy this Friday at school. But why today? Since Daddy is traveling on Friday, we had our own celebration. Donuts on Wednesday is almost always better than donuts on Friday!

Although we have not had much success w/video in the past, we will try, try again here. It has been difficult capturing this on video in the past but we happened to get lucky this weekend. No idea where Jacob learned this or whether he figured this out on his own but it is quite ingenious.

The Backhoe
The kids were mesmerized as the workers were building the house. The backhoe was trenching lines for the plumbing and they were dropping the pipe. We think they could have sat there for hours as this was all taking place. With all the episodes of 'Gold Rush' that we have watched, they may have thought there was gold underneath that yard as well.
