Back to the Drawing Board
For Mother's Day, we experimented with making Red Velvet cake.....Mom's favorite. We didn't go the easy route with Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines, we went with another brand that required a little more work. A little more work should equal a better taste; however, that was not the case. The cake was just OK so we will go back to the drawing board on this one and see if we can get it right and perhaps go with a different theory on cake assembly next time.

The Ring Bearer
Noah was asked to be the ring bearer at Kristin and Barry's wedding this June. He happily accepted and is looking forward to the event. He and Jacob had plenty of cake at the wedding shower and we figure even more cake at the wedding will help keep him focused on his new-found responsibility!

Mom's Work
All that traveling that Mom does can have certain perks from time to time. Nice restaurants, hotels and luxurious flights in coach! Forget that last one. However, she got to try out the Boeing flight simulator while in Washington D.C. last week. We are not certain whether she is ready to change jobs just yet though.
