We were a just about to head home as it was quickly getting
dark when we got one last fish, the elusive Walleye. He didn’t give much of a fight at first but
found some life and once again we got the landing net out and hauled him in. His length was about 28”.
We always catch and release but not this time. The next morning, your grandpa got to work giving a demonstration on how to properly fillet a fish. Jacob was thrilled with this fishing excursion as we almost caught "one of everything" and he now will proudly list all the types of fish in the lake on demand.
