Fall Baseball

Jacob played on the Raiders in fall ball at NWLL the past few months.  The team finished 4-4, winning three of their last four games.  Last night they lost 13-12 in a back and forth game under the lights on a beautiful night for baseball.  

Jacob had three hits with one strike out last night and drove in three runs including driving a ball into the outfield with the bases loaded. 

We will miss the trips to the ball park but know they will be starting again in about four months and Jacob is excited for spring baseball because they will have a tournament.

Those Socks

More on those socks in a couple days.  Needless to say, he was stylin for class picture day and looking forward to telling his class the story behind the Pringles socks.

Plinking

A perfect day in Fredericksburg the other weekend so we decided to do some plinking with the .22.  Jacob found us a nice place which was out of the way of everything.   

Noah had no problem hitting the tin.

It was way too big and heavy for Jacob but after Dad steadied the barrel and Noah helped Jacob sight-in each shot, he was hitting the tin with repetition.

Happy Halloween!

This year, Harry Potter and the Wolfman were set for trick or treating on a very cold evening....

....we stopped over at the neighbors for some pizza and fun and then headed out to make as many stops as possible.

This was Noah's favorite picture of the evening and when it was all said and done....

.....we were fairly confident this was their biggest haul yet.

With Mom gone to Paris for the weekend (France....not Texas),  the guys.....

...made a trip down to Lake Bastrop for some fishing.  We got there early and started at the piers.

Not much action there so we headed out on the fisherman's trail and found a nice spot.

We got a number of these little guys and had a great time.  It was already 92 degrees about 1:00 PM so we headed back to Austin.

With everyone quite hungry at that point, we decided to hit the Golden Corral and there were thumb's up all around.

Doss

They are starting to make some real progress on the new Doss.  They have carved out a nice piece of land into the hillside to ensure an unobstructed view of downtown and a lot of the steel is already in place.
