Hurricane Harvey

We will continue to pray for those to the Southeast and in Houston for a quick recovery and hopefully receding waters.  Closer to home, 10" of rain in Austin & 60+ mph winds.  We got some free tree trimming due to Harvey's winds and we really aren't sure the story behind the second picture.

Cub Scouts - Angry Birds

At his first Cub Scouts get together, they played Angry Birds.  He forgot all about the slingshot that he got on vacation after trying this one out with water balloons.

With week one of school almost in the books, we think the boys are probably already dreaming  about vacation again.  This pic taken after the hot rod show in downtown Park Rapids.....about as Americana of a day as possible.

Noah's Class

Noah acclimated well to his first couple days of school.  His school supplies were waiting for him and we met his teacher which we are all excited about.  Noah's highlight of the first couple days of school was being selected by a classmate to walk to the front office with him to announce a birthday. Turns out Noah got to recite the Pledge of Allegiance over the intercom on Day 2 of school.

Jacob's New Class / Teacher

Jacob met his new teacher, Ms. Collins, and started Kindergarten on Monday.  That evening he told us that he was given no reminders the entire day.  Very proud of himself and had no problems transitioning to school on the second day.  Good job pal!

2017 First Day of School

All roads vary in length and the boys are heading down a new road at Doss this year.  With new shirts, backpacks, etc, they started the adventure yesterday.  Jacob went to his first day of Kindergarten and Noah was off to second grade.  Both acclimated quickly to their classes and they were both quite happy with everything yesterday, including the eclipse.

Washers

The boys had a couple good games of washers while on vacation.  Both games were pretty tight but Noah squeaked out the win.  However, we are not sleeping on you Jacob....you were focused, determined, and we can tell you will be ready next year.
