We got these (one didn't survive the last week) for our Padre Island trip sometime back. The boys learned that they also are good sleds in the snow. Virtually every day this week they have went sledding and used the bodyboards, inflatables, plastic tub lids, etc.
Meanwhile, we have tried everything to keep some of our trees with us a while longer.

This doesn't happen often in Central Texas and would classify as a true snow-day for the kids with a day off school; however, it is President's Day holiday today, so they are off already. After a weekend that gave us a 30 hour power outage, and ice storm and single digit temps....this all gets weirder by the day.

Winter just gets weirder in Austin. As we get ready for the really cold weather late weekend, we were already greeted with a minor ice storm, remote learning for the day, and no power for the last 12 hours.
