There's been a lot of rain around here lately and the grass has been growing quickly.....

....Noah was a big help last week.  Hopefully we are working on a habit here.

The Glory Days

Last Sunday was Noah's second piano recital.  He chose 'The Glory Days' from The Incredibles movie and did an excellent job.  He and Jacob really enjoyed all the cookies after the performance.

Raingutter Regatta

It was the Raingutter Regatta last weekend with the Scouts.  We got our kits to build the boats weeks ago and got to building the day before the races.  The kids had to supply the wind during the races.  Both boys won four heats but didn't make it to the finals.  

It was a perfect day for racing and everyone had a lot of fun.

Doss Elementary Demolition

It took a month or two but Doss Elementary is no more, just the gym still stands which we think will stay.  Now it will be on to the construction of the new building which looks to be pretty amazing from all the renderings.

Waco Half-Marathon

Lori was off to Waco last weekend with the ladies from church for the half marathon.  They all completed the race on a warm April morning.

Of course the local celebrities were on-hand too!

Boys Of Summer - The Orioles

It was the final regular season game for the Orioles.  Firmly in second place in the standings, they went out and won 21-10.  Jacob had a busy night with four hits, a bunch of RBI's, and scoring three runs.

They finished the regular season at 7-4-1 but began the season at 1-1-1.  The bats came alive in the back half of the season and they scored a total of 63 runs in the last four games which were all victories!

Eight pancakes the other night for dinner.....We are going to buy stock in Hungry Jack! The Harry Potter costume?  Just for dramatic effect.
