Back To The Pool

It was back to the pool on Friday and Saturday.  Jacob enjoys the water and is getting close to jumping off the side of the pool.  Noah is quickly getting to the point where he can tread water the length of the pool.  It's almost August so we will have many more opportunities to play in the water.

Off-Roading

Jacob really enjoyed the four-wheeler, so much that he didn't want to get off in near 100 degree heat.  He looks pretty determined in this picture but he was just waiting patiently for the photos to end.

Riding

Noah's Great-Uncle Larry has been teaching him how to properly ride a horse.  Now that he has a cowboy hat, belt buckle, boots, etc....we are pretty sure he is going to pass for a full-fledged cowboy someday.

Roping

Noah has been practicing with his lasso on, well.....Jacob's toy horse.  Tomorrow, we may even see him riding high in the saddle.

Strategizing

That's the only thing we can make of this little huddle.

Jacob's School Birthday Cake

Each of the kids get to make their own birthday cake at school when his/her big day arrives.

It looks like they covered all the necessary steps including mixing, stirring.....

...pouring into the pan and finally.....

.....a little quality control (taste test) before it goes into the oven.

When you get to taste the batter for your birthday and your friend can only watch, you definitely know it must be your birthday!

Fireman Sam

After all this time, Noah still loves Fireman Sam.  Now he has gotten Jacob interested in it too.  The folding chairs just add to the experience!
