An Outtake from Noah's Birthday

We were attempting to get him to hold up four fingers for his this momentous birthday occasion.  Instead, this appears to have turned into the picture of a greeting that has not been common for the better part of 70 years from somewhere deep in his ancestry.  Anyway....he still loved the blueberry pancakes!

Where is Jacob?

The Chair

Memo to Jacob......we have been playing a game of cat and mouse for the better part of a year now.  This pillow has a place and that is on top of the chair; however, you don't see it that way.  Every time that we put the pillow on the chair, it is back on the floor in this same position within hours.  It is not as if you enjoy sitting on the chair or even play anywhere near the chair, you just don't seem to believe that this pillow belongs on the chair and you have some sort of inner-radar that alerts you when we have placed that pillow back in the proper place.  We will continue our little game and although we may never solve this mystery, maybe that's the way it is meant to be.

Water Play

This Friday AM pic can only mean one thing...water play is back at the Hyde Park  CDC.  The boys look forward to it all week long. As we continue on swim lessons on the weekends, they are getting plenty of time in the water.

Dove Bars

Noah.....you seem to have a thing for ice cream and any ice cream related products (malts, milkshakes, etc, etc). We have lately been discussing what kind of malts we are going to have when we next go to Minnesota.  You are holding firm to strawberry but blueberry appears to be gaining.

Birthday Party?

Noah's buddy Levi had his fifth birthday the other week and they all went to see a movie. Dad was left to wonder just how he could get one of those chairs at home in the living room.

How Could We Forget?

Noah was happy to see Joe Biden after he was tucked away for a long cold winter in Minnesota.  However, Joe is back sitting comfortably on the dock watching Straight Lake....just where Joe should always be.

Jacob Turns Two Years Old

He got the first candle with little effort but the second took a little work.  In the end, he got them both. Of course, if there was any question as to whether Jacob liked his cake......this should answer it.

Gone Fishing!

 

It got pretty warm in Fredericksburg last weekend so we decided to do some fishing.  We had Noah's rod and reel on-hand so everything was ready to go.  After a few casts and plenty of time watching the bobber.....

.....Noah hooked him and actually started reeling him in before we noticed (think Jacob may have distracted us briefly).  It was a nice little fish from the Pedernales river which happened to go completely dry just a few years back.  We couldn't quite get Noah to take a picture with his fish but he will grow into that.
