Work And Play In Frederickburg

Work started eary on Saturday.  Noah was up and ready to oversee operations first thing that morning.

The plan was to finish off the bottom of the cabin to keep all the animals out.

After a hard day of work, it was about 70% finished.

Grandpa and Grandma Reeder were very happy with all the help!

First Haircut

Noah's hair was getting just a little long so we gave him a haircut on Sunday.  He took it very well and probably didn't even know what was happening.  Now he's looking sharp again, complete with an ear-to-ear grin!

Fall Cleanup

It's only mid-September and the leaves are falling for some reason. No better time to get Noah to work.  The hand broom and dust pan work perfectly for him even if he is out working in his pajamas.

Music Together

It was Music Together night at the Hyde Park CDC last night.  Misty, the music coordinator, led all the kids in song and playing instruments (drums, tambourines, etc).  Here, Noah was kind enough to return Greg's shoe which was met with the approval of his teacher, Lourdes. Greg and Noah are only three days apart in age and would be great at Sumo wrestling together but Greg has Noah by 5-10 lbs.

The music got him pretty wound up and it was hard to corral him all evening.

Chicken Stew

It's a good thing that Noah likes chicken stew because it's becoming a Sunday ritual with a bonus early week leftover ritual.  However, when chicken stew and any type of bread are presented at the same time, whatever type of bread wins out every time.  To further the point, the stew must wait until ALL the bread is gone.  We have figured out that we can feed him some of both at the same time.

The Endless Summer

It was back to the swimming pool on Sunday afternoon.  This summer apparently goes down as the hottest summer in any state of any year in the US since records have been kept.  With a still growing record setting number of days at or above 100 degrees currently sitting at 85, Noah is living through history in the making.  Considering the pool closed for the season the next day, we'll have to figure out what to do next.

Aging Well

He's very curious about hats.  He doesn't like to wear his hat and it's going to take some time for him to fit this one so we'll have to figure something out in the interim.

Montana Trip - Part IV

Many beautiful lakes and streams in Glacier Nat'l Park.

A family photo to prove to Noah someday that we actually went on vacation.

Another picture from McDonald Lodge.

A trip to the lake.

Noah just enjoying the weather.

Montana Trip - Part III

Day two of the trip included an excursion to Glacier National Park......

.....where we saw McDonald Lodge on the West Side of the park.....

.....and on the Northeast side of the park was Many Glaciers lodge.

There were HUGE fireplaces......

....and a large, inviting lobby.

The 70 degree temps were perfect for the well kept grounds.

Noah explored the deck at Many Glaciers......

...and the rustic inside of the lodge.

He enjoyed himself so much he was ready for his own picture.

Turnbuckle

Noah seemed to be fascinated with this at a restaurant in downtown Couer 'D Alene. Perhaps he will be a professional wrestler someday.

Montana Trip - Part II

Loading up before leaving the Austin airport........

....Noah awaited patiently his fourth trip via the air.

He is getting accustomed to the camera but pictures of taking pictures is going a bit far.

There was a lesson on how an airport operates.

Noah checked his voicemal once we landed.....

......and we trucked across Washington and Idaho.

After a few more hours of driving, we made it to Whitefish, MT.

Montana Trip - Part I

It appears that Noah has enjoyed his time in Montana.  When we can get him to pose, smile, and we actually catch the picture, that's a big accomplishment.

Any time he's near a lake, he seems to be at his finest.
