Room to Roam

Roaming around the fire pit.....

....roaming down by the shoreline.....

......roaming across the dock.......

.....trying to roam across the lawn 100 yards at a time......

....and roaming across the cabin floor.  All this activity sure makes him hungry and quite tired.

Nautical Noah

Noah took his first boat ride just two weeks shy of his first birthday.  Although he was a little skeptical of taking to the water......

.....he warmed to the idea and even cracked a smile as he found many new things to play with (just not the tackle box).

He took in the sights of the trip but found the life preserver a little restrictive.

After a trip to the swimming pool this week and a boat ride, we think he is going to enjoy many years of fun in and around the water.

The Wagon and the Lawn Mower

Noah has thoroughly enjoyed his Radio Flyer travels in MN just as he has in Texas.

While dad introduced Noah to the John Deere and simply posed for the picture.....

.....mom got busy and mowed the lawn!

Grandma took Noah for a quick trip in the wagon before lunch and as a result of all the morning activities, Noah just folded over and fell right to sleep.

Jaw Dropping Experience

It would appear that Noah is enjoying his first trip to Minnesota.  We have no idea what prompted this outrageously excited look.

There seems to be an 'amazed' expression on his face at every turn......

......and it's been cool enough to wear a jacket all day long!!!

He took to the water today for his first excusion on the boat.  Although smiling here, it took a while for him to warm up to the expericence (more on that later).

Up at 7:30AM for a trip to the coffee shop, only an hour of napping during the day and lights out at 7:00PM.  All in all....a very good day. Who needs a baby schedule anyway?

Coffee

At almost one year old, Noah is old enough to go out for coffee with the boys. He enjoyed waking up to 50 degree temps and his morning joe!  He takes to the high seas later today.

Grandma Helmers was happy to see Noah when he got home.  As for Mom, she's still sleeping and getting some well deserved rest.

The Bird Has Landed

It was a long day of travel, up at 5:30 AM and arrival at the cabin around 3:00 in the afternoon, but he enjoyed his first trip. Grandpa and Grandma helped 'Noah-Proof' the cabin while he played in the grass.

This picture was taken before landing in Fargo.  He played peek-a-boo with the good folks sitting in the row behind us and was a very good traveler.  Aside from "mechanical" issues w/one of the planes, weather in Denver, and a virtual run from gate B20 to B86 in Denver to catch the connection, all travel went well.

Buckets are one of his favorite toys so imagine his excitement when Grandpa gave Noah five of them to play with in the sand box.

Watermelon.....a new favorite?

This weekend included a trip to Grandpa and Grandma Reeder's new cabin in Fredericksburg.  He enjoyed himself so much he conked out for virtually the whole drive home.  Nothing is much better than watermelon on a hot day in Texas and Noah may just have found a new favorite.  Three pieces were almost not enough for him.  Noah takes his second plane ride on Tuesday so stay tuned for frequent updates from Minnesota.

Resemblance?

Could there be a resemblance here between Nicholas and Noah?  Perhaps it's too early to tell but their baby pictures carried a lot of similarities.

Slave Labor

Grinning ear to ear as he unloads the dishwasher......

.....but loading the dishes, not quite as much fun.

Noah and Elaine

You have to use your imagination to caption this photo!!!

A trip to Houston

The weekend of 6/4/11 included a trip to Houston (Missouri City) to see the Stubers and their new house.  Sienna Plantation appears to be the perfect location for them in a beautiful community complete with swimming pools, a gym, playground, and an outdoor pavillion all within 100 yards of their front door.

Noah seems to have taken a liking to Aunt Susan!

Smiles all the way around from Lori, Nicholas, and Patric at Hoggs 'N Chicks.......a good looking bunch that are all happy to be in Houston together!

More great smiles as Noah spends some time with his elder cousins (Ben and Nicholas) before the dinner bell rings!

Proof positive that a tough day of swimming can take a lot out of you!

Aunt Lisa and Uncle Randall's Wedding Celebration

Very happy sisters at the end of reception...whew - we made it!
Will share more pictures on the blog once we receive the
professional photos.

The procession....

A VERY Happy Bride and Father!

And Noah was a huge hit, of course.
He was such a big boy riding down the aisle...and
back after the ceremony was over!

Pretty cute kid if I do say so myself :-)

Handsome couple :-)

Lisa and Randall being pelted with lavender seeds after the wedding.

Lisa surprised Randall with a ride to their hotel in a vintage Cadillac
El Dorado.  The driver took the back roads to their hotel downtown...
Quite a romantic ride with the top down !
The church ceremony the day before...

Lori, Lisa and the flower girl, Myumi.

Noah really does like to be a ham...
